Curious about virtual psychotherapy? Live in Washington state?
Here’s what to do:
Initial Email
First contact me via email on the form available for your use on my Contact page.
I’ll respond and we can decide whether to move forward with a brief phone call. We'll talk about what you need and I'll answer questions you might have about my therapy practice.
After that we can schedule a first appointment.
Our First Session
Sessions are generally fifty-five minutes long. They are usually held virtually on my HIPPA compliant and secure Zoom platform. (If you aren’t using insurance, you also have the option for a phone session).
Before your first session, you and I will set up a client account through my electronic health record, TherapyAppointment.com. There are initial documents to read and sign, including scanning in a copy of your insurance card if applicable.
The Zoom platform warmly accommodates phones, tablets, computers and laptops, with my recommendation of a laptop or computer. Find a private space for your session where you’ll have minimal interruptions.
My fee is $175 per 55 minute session.
Insurance
I am a provider for some insurance companies. At this time I am accepting Premera Blue Cross, Lifewise, and First Choice Health insurance members. I am not a Medicare provider.
I can provide you with a Superbill if you have an out-of-network benefit with your plan.
Using your insurance to help with the cost of therapy can be a bit complicated. Please contact them first to find out what your mental health benefit is and how it works.
Nervous About Starting?
If you haven’t been in therapy before, or even if you have, then you might feel a little nervous about your first appointment. It’s okay, most people do. I’m here for you. You can tell me what’s on your mind, what you’ve been feeling or thinking about, what’s bothering you right now. Simply show up and be yourself.
